A New School Year - Bring it on!

First day back for the 08-09 school year! Even though it is 2 weeks before students are to arrive, things were far from quiet today: phones were ringing to set up Accellerated Reader, technology training, and author visits; teachers were checking out books and dropping by to catch up; furniture was being moved around and placed back on newly cleaned carpet - a LOT of activity. I LOVE the beginning of school - so much promise and potential... Time to put to practice the skills learned over the summer. Time to cultivate collaborative relationships with colleagues. Time to find the tools and resources my teachers will need to do their jobs effectively. Time to teach!
